VENDOR DESCRIPTION: The SCD RESPONSE Compression System can detect each patient's individual vascular refill rate to deliver the most reliable, efficient, customized compression therapy on the market.The SCD "Response” controller replaced the older "Sequel” model in October 2001 but uses the same tubing set and sleeves.

The 7325 SCD system clinically proves non-invasive method of prophylaxis to reduce the incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). It is for use on patients with high risk conditions such as obesity, advanced age, malignancy, or prior thromboembolism.

Pneumatic controller provides intermittent of pulses of compressed air which sequentially inflate the multiple chambers of the sleeve beginning at the ankle and moving up the leg. Results in a wave-like milking action which empties the veins and results in greatly increased peak blood flow velocity.

The Kendall Response Compression System Model 7325 is designed to apply sequential compression to the lower limbs to help prevent deep vein thrombosis in patients at risk. This digitally-controlled SCD is intended to alleviate swelling and leg numbness from DVT and Peripheral Edema in recovering patients.

The System consists of the Model 7325 Controller, the Tubing Set (provided with the Controller), and the use of single-patient use SCD Sleeves (purchased separately from this Controller). The Sleeves compress the limbs to enhance venous blood movement. After the compression, the Controller measures the time it takes for the legs to refill with blood and waits that period of time before the next compression in initiated.
